Are these PROs the most qualified or the top rated? Nope, but they did pay the most. Are they licensed? Possibly not, but they sound nice. From the PRO’s perspective, what matters is how fast they can schedule an appointment with you to beat everyone else. Because these PROs rely on that lead source, speed is key, by the time they get in your home, there’s a good chance the Home Improvement PRO may not remember your name, what your project specifically is, or the phone conversation.

Like many families, my wife and I rented until we could finally afford to purchase a home. We were thankful to be homeowners, but the catch was, the home needed a lot of work! Home prices were high and we prioritized location to work and community over aesthetics, which really meant, after purchasing the home, we did not have much set aside to renovate. Everything we decided that had to be renovated was critical to making the house feel like a home.

When we decided to renovate, we quickly realized we didn’t know any contractors. Through this process, I’ve come to learn that home projects are often severely limited not by budget, but instead by the amount of qualified contractor opinions you receive for your actual project.
